Agnieszka Koszek, who for many years served as the HR Director at Vesuvius Poland, is an extraordinary figure within our company. Her dedication, vision, and pursuit of equality at all levels of the organization have made her not only a respected leader but also an inspiration to many colleagues. Now, after years of successful work in Poland, the company has recognized her contributions by promoting her and transferring her to one of the key branches abroad. Agnieszka has been appointed as the Regional HR Director for North America and will join the team in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Agnieszka began her career at Vesuvius Poland in an industry traditionally dominated by men. Her determination and professionalis

m quickly earned her recognition among both employees and management. She introduced an innovative approach to people management, focusing on promoting equality and creating opportunities for professional development for everyone, regardless of gender or background. Her commitment led to the creation of the Equality Ambassadors initiative, which over its three years of operation, impacted the company’s organizational culture, making it more open and supportive of diversity.

Her authenticity, openness, and willingness to help have earned her tremendous respect throughout the team. Agnieszka received a global award in Vesuvius’ LTVA (Living The Values Awards) in the “Respect” category. The jury appreciated her open attitude toward different viewpoints, her encouragement of free expression, and her attentiveness to others’ perspectives. Agnieszka was also recognized for her efforts to ensure that the solutions developed were satisfactory to all involved parties and that every meeting participant felt like a co-creator of the success.

It is precisely her unwavering attitude and the changes she implemented that caught the attention of the international board, resulting in the offer of a promotion and transfer to Vesuvius’ key branch in the United States. In her new role, Agnieszka will be responsible for Flow Control and Advanced Refractories in North America, with the aim of leveraging the combined HR teams to ensure more effective business collaboration between the two business units.
